Jan 31- no post on Sundays

Ahlo. So today I worked on finishing the postcards I'm sending to various people, but as I learned a long time ago from Harry Potter, there's no post on Sundays. So I'm currently taking a break, eating a giant bowl of probably half-cooked vegetarian spaghetti. I know I know, gasps all around from the family. But I can make more repeat things from fresh vegetables than I can from meats, and my leftover saving container is still frozen solid with the food from last week. So, tada.

Which reminds me- if anyone has tasty recipes that don't take a lot of ingredients (or are at least ingredients I can use repeatedly in other foods) and can be sent to me in portion sizes for one, that would be awesome. I tend to make either too much or too little when cooking, and I am done for the time being with eating sandwiches.

I can't decide what I want to do today. So I won't.

EDIT

So instead of deciding what I wanted to do yesterday, I pretty much stayed indoors where it wasn't cold, read webcomics, played computer games, watched New Moon and Legend of the Seeker on my laptop (I was curious! Disappointed, but it was to be expected from New Moon.) and went out to a pub with Ro, Tony, and Courtney.

We went to the Builder's Arms, which is apparently a pub about 5min or less of a walk from the flat and one which Princes Edward and William like to frequent when they're in the area. Currently though they are in Australia, so no I won't be bringing home a prince. Don't try to make the jokes, family. I know you were thinkin' it. The food was good, the nachos Tony bought were strange and flaky, but with cheese and avocado and moderately spicy salsa. My dinner was breaded chicken and fries covered in some kind of plant. Edible plant, but what kind it was, I still don't know. But it was delicious.

I have decided that cider is my drink of choice, especially Aspall Perronelle's Blush Cyder. SO GOOD!! It's apple cider with blackberry liqueur. It was delicious and amazing and I know I probably can't get it back in the states when I turn 21 but I approved. Probably because it didn't taste too much like alcohol, wasn't too sweet, and didn't leave a really nasty aftertaste. Courtney described it as "it's like a jolly rancher, but not as sweet. It's kind of like how a pomegranate is a fruit, without tasting like one." Those quotes amuse me, and I don't follow what they mean either.

After that I came back home, drank water until I couldn't anymore, went to sleep at about 9:30, woke up around 1 or 2, drank more water until I didn't want to anymore, and went back to sleep.

And that was basically my day.

  1. No post on Sundays in Americaland either. :)

Pasta is your friend. Sauce lasts forever, too. Get yourself some rice, a couple good spices (salt and pepper are required, garlic is a must if you are me, i like chilli powder, pakrika, oregano, rosemary etc.), and use your vegetables to make stirfry. Every night it's different and every night it's delicious. I tend throw a scrambled egg or some tofu in there, as well.
