So I feel strangely compelled to update my blog tonight as opposed to tomorrow, even though there's absolutely time for this tomorrow now that my paper is done and printed and in my bag to turn in tomorrow. I don't like it that much, but I am proud that I have 18 sources in my bibliography that I really did read, highlight, and pull quotes/info from.
Uh, so today I mostly goofed off until we had class at 2pm, which consisted of a walking tour. The tour began in Covent garden, moved to Picadilly Circus, then Leicester Square (pronounced 'lester' like the name...yeah I dunno either) and then Oxford Circus. I didn't really realize how much of the area I've gotten to know until I could follow 89% of where we were at any given time, minus the stretch between Leicester Square and St. George's (or as I call it, Handel Church)
Good thing is that the Handel church is right next to the green shack cart where Erin got Bovril for the first time and I bought amazing Scottish soup the day I saw the queen! We were really excited after the tour (which was all about Thomas Arne and how his family related to several other families we've been studying.) So we went up to buy food but then it was closed! So sad. So I came home and made tomato soup and grilled cheese on the stove. It's only my third time attempting to make Grilled Cheese, but it turned out pretty good, not super brown but hey, not burnt either! And it was tasty.
So then I watched some TV and did my paper and played this awesome game where you stack blocks into a tower like Tetris only way harder and I edited my paper and I printed it off before some people had even really started. It was fun to watch us all working together on our individual essays, like a mini-bonding experience of "don't talk to me I'm trying to focus and frustrated about this paper so let's all discuss the topics together!" kind of a way. But! I might almost actually manage to print everything I need for this semester only using 10 sheets of paper. At least, I hope so, otherwise I have to start paying for my print jobs and it makes for a much less exciting story.
Tomorrow Will's mom is going us a presentation on Handel and we're probably doing something else Handel-related, and I've got Justin's class with Justin, who I owe an essay bright and early.
I'm going to bed now so I can wake up tomorrow and make my breakfast- I've already planned it out: two fried eggs in a toasted sandwich with garlic and herbed cream cheese. Seeded wholemeal bread too. Mmm, delicous.
