Feb 28: Before I forget!

Today we went to eat Dim Sum, which was wonderful and delicious and there was six of us who went and we're probably going back in the next week or so when we have money after going to Stratford upon Avon (aka Shakespeare's homeland) and to Edinburgh. Wew Scotland!

After that we went outside and there was some kind of Hare Rama Krishna Indian chant/praise/protest/worship something going on outside. A bunch of Indian people and other people painted with the forehead dots and paint all chanting with their arms upraised and swaying back and forth with banners and a drumset/band. No idea, but it was amusing.

I was headed back home and in the tube station when I saw an advertisement for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. I'd been seeing them around but they said limited run December on them so I hadn't paid them mind before. Then suddenly this one said "FINAL WEEKS" and so I think it's still going. I decided immediately it was worth my while to go. Not only would I be sitting in a room live listening to Mufasa/Real Vader and watching James Earl Jones acting onstage, but there's a few other actor/esses who looked famililar as well. So I made my way to Covent Garden.

Passing through Covent Garden I paused at a street performer who had managed to gather a crowd. His show looked promising but after spending 15-20 minutes watching him harass people on the street, make not-funny jokes that mostly degraded people, and watch him set up for his act, I finally gave up on the opportunity to watch someone get up on a unicycle twice his height, juggle three sabers and finish off with juggling a chainsaw and moved on.

So I got to the Novello Theatre where the show was supposed to be playing...and it was closed! I have no idea if the show is still going on, but the theatre was totally dark and locked and sad. So then I caught a bus to see if I could catch standing tickets to see Keira Knightley. No dice there either. Once again, doors were locked and everything was closed down. That's when I realized it was Sunday, and that even actors need a break sometimes. After that I wandered around Piccadilly Circus, found a T-shirt I think dad would like in a tourist store (I'm still debating if I want to buy it for him, for me, or for both of us) and then came back.

Now I am going to finally attempt to do some actual homework like I've been meaning to since Thursday night, and then try to get everything in order that I need to print/sign/mail/fax this week.

So yeah.
